2026 SHAPE Iowa

Jodi has spent the past 19 years as a physical education teacher in Ankeny, IA.  She currently is a high school physical education and health teacher at Ankeny Centennial High and prior to that was at Northview Middle School.  In 2011 she was named Iowa Middle School Physical Education Teacher of the Year and in 2023 she was named Iowa High School Teacher of the Year. Prior to her time in PE she spent 10 years teaching special education. She currently is teaching adapted physical education classes along with health and wellness classes.
